The rotational viscometer PCE-RVI 10 measures the mechanical resistance of any fluid moving in the opposite direction to the rotational movement of the spindle. This creates a torque that is recognized by the device and converted to a viscosity value. Although the device has a wide measuring range of 10… 2,000,000 cP or mPa*s, it has a sharp accuracy of ±1.0%. With the immersion temperature sensor, the temperature of the liquids to be tested can be measured between 0 – 100°C. The device can be used for quality control of oils. The viscosity of many oils changes with temperature. With the timer function, the device can operate independently for the time set by the operator. The measurement data can be transferred to the computer via the RS232 interface. The software displays the temperature and viscosity profile graphically and in tabular form. The optional printer can be connected directly to the device to print the corresponding measurement value. The device is adaptable to many environments. The height of the device can be adjusted with its feet, so that the measuring spindle is always perpendicular to the measuring medium. For this, there is a spirit level at the end of the device. In addition, the tester can be adjusted to a height of 25 cm with a viscometer to properly position the spindle.
